SMBA Supports Trail Readiness at Maple Avenue Middle School for 2025 Spring PE Classes

The Saratoga Mountain Bike Association (SMBA) has partnered with Maple Avenue Middle School to clear and prepare the school’s on-campus trails, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for physical education classes. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote mountain biking which is now part of the middle school’s physical education (PE) curriculum.

With SMBA's volunteer support and trail stewardship expertise, the trails have been restored to a condition suitable for use during PE sessions. This work not only enhances the outdoor facilities available to students but also reinforces the importance of community collaboration in supporting public education.

Thanks to the efforts of SMBA and local volunteers, Maple Avenue Middle School students will now be able to take full advantage of their own trail system this season—promoting physical health, outdoor learning, and a lifelong appreciation for nature-based recreation.
