Trails are pretty good

The trails are looking pretty good. The usual wet spots with some wetter than usual but drying out quickly.

There is a dam on the Backstretch. The beavers built a dam about 10 feet downstream from the bridge and the area filled with water. The bridge has broken in two and is floating in about 3 feet of water. You can walk alongside the stream upstream a bit and cross it and make your way back to the trail and keep your feet dry doing it. If you do that you’ll get a good feeling for what beavers can do because there is a large tree across the stream that they dropped and another they are working on dropping.  Looks like we’ll have to work a new route in around this, probably in the spring.

All in all the trails are nice with some leaves down.  We’ll probably be getting the blowers out in the next couple of weeks. It’s a beautiful weekend, get out and enjoy.
