That thought occurred while riding today
The front side trails have seen a good amount of riding and are solid ice or hard pack snow. Out back has not seen as many tires so there is still about 2 inches of crust to break through, more in the low points, exposed ground on the south facing slopes. I had first tracks on The Backstretch, not as desirable as first tracks on a board, but still 99% rideable. A few more riders, or a couple of more warm days and the back side will be as fast as the front.
